There is a $500 deposit to get you sample portfolios and tests from 2 editors. We apply your deposit to the first month subscription fee if you decide to hire. Most full-time editors cost $1,995/month. Some premium editors cost $2,995/month.
You can hire an amazing, full-time editor for as little as $36,000 per year in the India. Your editor will have excellent English, a strong work ethic, and work while you sleep.
Yes. Your editor is on your team. All editors work full-time for only you. They are just like a regular team member.
We like to think of the US to India time difference as time travel. You can record and upload raw videos during your day, then wake up to edited videos the next morning.
Some clients find it helpful to schedule an hour or two of overlap with their editor to sync-up and handle any quick revisions
These are great editors, so they work fast. Exact times depend on a lot of factors – particularly how much footage there is and how many motion graphics are requested. But here’s some general guidelines:
- Clip – 4-8 hours to cut, lightly edit, and caption.
- Long-Form – 2 days to work through footage, cut, and lightly edit.
- Ad – 4 days for a highly edited 1 minute ad
These are general minimums, but once you start working with your editor you’ll get a good sense for each other’s workflow and speed. You can work together to dial things in from there.
Also, if you provide them with asset databases like Envato Elements, Storyblocks, etc. they’ll be able to work much faster.
